Mr. Charles Booth's Inquiry

Archival Holdings at the Museum of London

The Museum of London holds the original working maps for the Descriptive Map of London Poverty 1889. These are hand coloured and the base map is the 1869 Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 maps. The maps are not currently on display but will form part of the new nineteenth century gallery display (opening December 2001). Researchers can view the map by appointment only (contact gcameron@museumoflondon.org.uk).
